About Me
I'm Maydo! I'm a Fairphone superfan and developer dedicated to user sovereignty and the right to repair. My work focuses on building lifeboats for hardware through 32-bit preservation and creating high-privacy mobile environments that reject corporate surveillance.
Core Projects
- Maydo OS - A lightweight Debian-based distro optimized for performance and 32-bit legacy hardware survival.
- Nexus Interface - A custom AOSP ROM (aosp_codename.mk) built for sovereignty. Includes microG and Aurora Store with system-level spoofing (com.android.vending / com.google.android.gms) for a seamless, de-Googled experience.
- Androma - A Termux/Proot project bringing a full Debian environment to Android, featuring AwesomeWM and native audio support.
The Manifesto
Guided by Surah Al-Hujurat 12, I build systems that respect the boundary of privacy:
- GPL Compliance: Open source is a legal and ethical mandate, not a suggestion.
- Anti-Surveillance: No telemetry, no "Tajassus" (spying), no backdoors.
- Hardware Ownership: I advocate for bootloader unlocking and support the Wall of Shame community efforts to hold OEMs/carriers accountable.
